Professional History
Audra August is a consultant, coach, facilitator, and strategic advisor. She brings over 20 years of experience working with individual leaders, executive teams, and boards designing and evolving HR functions, leading culture transformation mandates, developing leadership capacity, building engaged and healthy cultures, and creating more strategic and effective organizations.
Audra’s areas of focus include strategy development, leadership effectiveness, culture and values development, team effectiveness, engagement, and talent and succession planning. As a consultant, Audra works with clients to challenge conventional thinking, ask tough questions, and offer thoughtful insights that enable change. She helps organizations surface and resolve systemic issues and gain greater clarity, focus, and alignment around strategic imperatives. Audra brings her diverse skills to help build differentiated leadership and sustainable organizations.
Audra has worked with organizations in a variety of industries including clean energy, financial services, consumer-packaged goods, retail, natural resources, not-for-profit, and professional services. Audra has held leadership roles with Enwave Energy, ComTech Energy, LHH Knightsbridge, BlackBerry, and Whirlpool Corporation. She has contributed as a speaker and writer on the topics of leadership, board effectiveness, culture, and succession management.
Audra recently served as Chair of the Governance Committee and Board member for ROCK, Reach Out Centre for Kids, an innovative and family-focused children’s mental health organization. She holds a B.A. in Sociology from Western University, and she has completed the Not-for-Profit Board Governance program through DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University, the Accelerated Management Talent program at the Richard Ivey School of Business, and the Coaching Fundamentals program through CTI.
