Marlee Farina is a PhD candidate in Human Resources Management at York University, combining an academic foundation with hands-on experience in diverse sectors, including investment finance, banking, and manufacturing. Before beginning her PhD, Marlee worked in a generalist human resources capacity in investment finance and manufacturing and held a role in the learning and development department within banking.

Marlee has since taught courses in strategic human resources management, organizational behavior, training and development, compensation, and HR analytics at York University, Brock University, George Brown College, and Centennial College. In addition to her teaching, Marlee has contributed to the field by editing textbooks in strategic human resources management and compensation, offering valuable insights into foundational HR concepts.
